Tight B-Holes: Bruins 2nd Round Preview

Pucker up them B-holes kids its 2nd round playoff time. The Bruins shitpumped the Caps in round 1, Chara looked slow and out of place, making Sweeney look even better with all the moves he's made in the last year. Rask didn't have to face too many shots as by design, he played well when he needed to, but the deeper they go in the playoff the more likely it is he will choke on a fatty. Is this the round the world rights itself and Rask chokes on it? Stay tuned folks.

The Islanders look legit as all hell, a tough, physical team that grinds you down until your are ready to be stuffed into rolling papers and smoked. Make no mistake this will be a different series then the Caps series. The Bruins were faster, more skilled, and far better coached. The Islanders matchup up almost perfectly with the Bruins. They are going to give the Bruins top line far more problems that whatever the Caps tried doing. Don't be surprised if Pasta gets hurt this series from all the bumping and grinding. The Bruins are going to have to get good production from their 3rd and 4th lines to win this series, without them getting scoring chances I don't think the Bruins will have a chance. The Islanders come in with an insanely hot goalie and as we've seen in the past when it's a goalie vs goalie series, Rask will lose 10 out of 10 times. As always in big games/series Rask is the Bruins biggest concern. The Islanders aren't flashy, they don't have the best skill guys or snipers, they have grinders, they have heart and they will not quit. The Islanders team reminds me a lot of the 2019 Blues. You know the only team that showed up for Game 7 in Boston just two years ago. Both arenas will be full capacity, it will be rocking at both barns, and the Bruins have home ice advantage. Does this favor the Bruins? No, it favors the Islanders. The Bruins are more likely to not show up for a game 7 in their own house then they are on the road. Not to mention when the Bruins are at home it gives Rask plenty of opportunity to go out for hot wings and beers the night before said game 7.

So Stevie Babe, what's your prediction? Well I am going to pull a Roachey here and give you two predictions. If the Bruins are up 3-2 heading into game 6 in New York, they will finish it off and move on to the winner of the Avs or Knights in which they have zero chance. However if the Bruins are down 3-2 heading into New York game 6 and they win to come home for game 7 in Boston then it's Rask choke time and the Islanders win big. 4-1, 5-0, 6-2. Something along those lines. One thing this series will be however is fun as all hell, year in and year out the NHL has one of the best playoffs around and this series will be the epitome of that. Go Bs, (expect for Rask). Here's to hoping we get to see our real goalie at some point.
